Hi! My name is Ioana! In our previous article, we discussed how to create video content and how important it is to promote your business and your products.

This time we are going to learn 5 ways to organize your business and how having a regular schedule can actually help your business!

Why do they can?

Everybody knows that running a business involves more than just coming up with good ideas or hiring the best employees. Apparently, it is not enough to put in a lot of work if you don’t do things in the right way.

I’ve met people who wondered why they weren’t as successful as others, as they are were working so hard to achieve it.

Here’s the fact: the way we organize our time plays a huge role in our tasks’ results. We all have the same amount of time during the day.

Yes, some people get to accomplish their goals, while others are just wasting their time. What makes that big of a difference?

Here are 5 ways to organize your business, that can improve your organizational skills too:

  1. Plan in advance

Learning about time management and how you can use our time to its maximum is not always enough. Unexpected things can happen and it is useful to plan your main activities in advance.

This way you will avoid having too many to dos and not being able to manage them all.

It will give you a pretty clear idea of what activities you should tackle first and which ones should you focus on second and third, according to its own importance.

Being organized will save you a lot of time and you will slowly discover that there is enough time for all the tasks you want to complete. Useful, wouldn’t you say so?

It’s known that successful people plan in advance. Even if daily life is not always something you can 100% control, don’t let this stop you!

The more organized you are and the better you plan your tasks, the more you can anticipate future problems and possible solutions.

This way, you are always prepared for what is coming and you will never miss deadlines.

  1. Write, write, write!

When you have everything calculated there are fewer chances to make mistakes or to have losses. Wouldn’t you agree?

The question is, how do you put everything into practice and make your workday easier?

If you are a visual person just like me you might prefer having a pen and paper. So, the first thing to do is to take a piece of paper and a pen and start writing all the important things you need to make in a day.

Try to make a list beginning from the most important ones till you get to the less important ones. This way, you pay more attention to the first ones and you make sure you will not miss them.

  1. Create a schedule and give deadlines

That’s something you must have. The deadlines I mean! Why are they important to write down? When you write down the deadlines for every task, you have a clearer view of them and you will feel more compelled to meet them.

Give each task the right amount of time and try your best to respect every deadline.  It’s like giving your word. Does your word count to you?

Always add some extra minutes for every task just in case something unexpected will appear on that day.

  1. Batch your work!

Make a habit of calculating your working time. Make sure you are on time with your schedule and you don’t take too many breaks during your daily schedule. All the breaks need to be written on paper so that when you take a look at your schedule, you will know how much free time you have.

  1. Keep things at hand

A huge part of being organized also involves the way you arrange your things. Always put them in the same place so that you will always know where to find them.

Try not to lose time on finding an important document. If you have trouble remembering these types of things you can also write down their place on a paper. Creating a visual map of your office will make things easier.

If you have trouble remembering dates or even tasks for the day, try a  calendar scheduler  and you can have it set to remind you of all that.

Make it in your own way!

As you can see, being organized helps you  stay focus on what matters.

Anyone has their own way of organizing things and it is important to discover yours. Come up with your own personalized way of arranging your time and stay focused on what is important.

If you still did not put into practice the 5 ways to organize your business, I would advise you to at least try. Maybe for a week? After a week share your results with us. How have your life and business improved?
